One of Oneonta's oldest businesses, Stevens has been around in one form or another since 1882, when T. Waldo Stevens started the store at 125 Main Street. Today Stevens' features sporting goods and specialty hardware; hard-to-find items you can't always find at the big home improvement stores. Need quality fishing gear? It is a great place! I love old things and seeing the old display cases, cabinets, etc. is like a "blast from the past". Also, they carry merchandise you might not see elsewhere. Where else can you buy a weathervane?
Service is great, too. I purchased a flashlight there and after a couple of uses, it did not work. They graciously replaced it even without a receipt.
